Advanced training in the methodology of teaching English to teaching staff of the Department of foreign languages

           Department of International Relations and Multilanguage study congratulates the colleagues from the Department of Foreign Languages on a successful completion of a 20-hour virtual training on “English Language teaching methodology and content development of online classes”, and finally receiving certificates!!!

           The advanced training course " English Language teaching methodology and content development of online classes" was organized with the support of the Department of Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with the US Embassy in Kazakhstan. The classes were conducted by an experienced specialist in the field of teaching English as a foreign language - Graham Derry. Advanced training, which took place from September 15 to October 30, included studying modern online technologies for teaching English, teaching critical thinking for students, communication methodology, paired and group work in ZOOM (breakout rooms) program, CLIL, student-centred training, as well as practical classes on creating Google forms and documents available in online format; working with Quizlet, Flipgrid, etc.  At the end of the training course, each teacher defended his project by demonstrating his own online site created during the course. The project defence and educational process was conducted in English.
