The Department of Innovative Technologies and Digitalization carries out its activities in accordance with the Regulations on divisions and job descriptions for specialists of the West Kazakhstan University named after M. Utemisov, the current legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Structure of the Department of Strategic Development and Innovation:
- Information Technology Center;
- Department of Methodological Work and Educational Technologies;
- Distance Learning Center;
- Professional Development Center.
The main purpose of the department: development and implementation of innovative technologies in the educational process, digitalization of scientific and educational and organizational and managerial activities, organization of educational and methodological work, professional development of the faculty and staff of the university.
Functions of the Department of Strategic Development and Innovation:
- development and implementation of programs and plans for the introduction of innovative technologies and digitalization of the university;
- ensuring the sustainable functioning of the computer-communication and software-information environment at the university;
- training of teaching staff and employees in the use of innovative information technologies in the educational process, research and administrative activities of the university;
- development and support of university websites, electronic educational publications and teaching staff programs, software products for managing the educational process, etc.;
- participation in innovative educational, research and technical projects;
- coordination and assistance to the deans of faculties and departments of the university in the organization of educational and methodological work, the introduction and use of educational technologies;
- organization of work on the planning and publication of educational and methodological manuals (including those with the stamp of the ROMS of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan) University teaching staff;
- assistance to the deans of faculties and departments of the university in the development and implementation of joint educational programs with foreign universities;
- development of cooperation with foreign universities in the field of double-degree and additional education;
- planning, organization and control of the educational process using distance learning technologies;
- support of the educational portal in the field of information resources and support for users of the Moodle system;
- providing training on academic mobility with the use of distance educational technologies;
- organization of work to improve the skills of teaching staff and university staff;
- provision of services in the field of additional education and advanced training;
- development of cooperation with domestic and foreign universities in the field of advanced training;
- assistance to the deans of faculties and departments of the university in the development and implementation of professional development programs.
