Head of the Center for Advanced Training and Retraining: Darina Shaumuratovna Telagisova.

Center for Advanced Training and Retraining (CATR) JSC "WKU after M. Utemisov" operates on the basis of the Charter of the University, the regulations on the Center and reports directly to the head of the Department of Innovative Technologies and Digitalization.

The main objectives of the Center:

- improving the professional level within the existing qualifications and (or) obtaining a new competence necessary for professional activity; training teachers to introduce updated content, structure and innovative technologies of education into the educational process; improving the quality of training by the University of competitive specialists; improving the management of the educational process.

The Center's activities are aimed at solving the following tasks:

- improving pedagogical and professional skills, mastering professional competencies;

- deepening of theoretical and practical knowledge on the basis of modern achievements of science, progressive engineering and technology;

- improvement of forms, methods and means of training;

- dissemination and development of innovative technologies of vocational education;

- improvement of pedagogical technologies and introduction of modern technologies;

- development of leading professional skills, professional and personal qualities, creative abilities of teaching staff, increasing their scientific potential;

- development of concrete proposals for improving the educational process, the introduction of advanced achievements of science, technology and production into the practice of teaching.

Main directions:

- sending teachers to central universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and universities of the near and far abroad in accordance with the long-term professional development plan;

- organization of course events for heads of structural divisions, teachers and staff of the university on the most pressing problems of higher school pedagogy, credit learning technologies, the basics of computer technology and others;

- training of teachers in state and foreign languages;

- organization of course events for employees of preschool organizations, teachers and school employees of the city and region, heads of secondary special, vocational education, entrepreneurs;

- retraining of citizens with vocational education who do not have pedagogical education;

- meeting the needs of graduates in additional education.

The Center for Advanced Training implements programs using the following types of training:

- short-term courses;

- long-term courses;

- online courses;

- trainings;

- seminars;

- webinars;

- preparatory courses;

- language courses.

Advanced training courses are implemented offline, as well as using distance learning technologies.
