Master's students-interns of the pedagogical practice, which took place from October 28 to December 7, 2024, organized a number of creative events to deepen their knowledge and improve teaching methods. These events were aimed at forming a scientific worldview in students, developing logical thinking, and improving teamwork skills. Among them, noteworthy events include “Quiz Arena”, “BIO IQ”, "Genetics: current achievements and future possibilities”, “Bacteria and viruses. Prevention of infectious diseases” and “Debates”.
An intellectual competition on the topic “Quiz Arena” was organized under the supervision of master’s students-interns Talapova Lyazzat, Nauryz Ertilek, Romasheva Ainagul, Ibrahim Gulshara and Zholdybek Gausaria. The competition consisted of four stages: “Where is the logic?”, “Question platform”, “Scientists” and “Bet”. At each stage, participants answered questions on various theoretical and logical aspects of the subject of biology. Three groups: “Rafflesia”, “Darwin's descendants”, “Biomagic” from groups BG-21 and BG-31 participated in this event. During the event, participants completed interactive tasks using information and communication technologies. In the theoretical part, students were asked questions from various areas of biology, their scientific knowledge and logical thinking skills were tested. At the practical stage, the groups were given the task of identifying the type of plant and planting it in a pot correctly. At this stage, the groups demonstrated practical skills, following the rules for planting plants. As a result of the intellectual competition, the team “Darwin's descendants” showed high results. This event contributed to the improvement of students' teamwork skills and deepening their knowledge.
Master's students Arystanova L.A., Bakiyev S.S., Kozheva E.Yu. and Manoli N.S. held an educational event on the topic “Bacteria and viruses. Prevention of infectious diseases” among 1st and 2nd year students of groups Eco-12 and BG-22. During the event, such methods as a report, conversation, and game were used. The host was master's student Arystanova L.A. At the beginning of the event, the invited guest, bacteriologist from the National Center for Expertise of the Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Control of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Taigarenova A.M. made a report on the situation with infectious diseases. In the second part of the event, master's students Kozheva E.Yu. and Bakiyev S.S. made reports on bacterial and viral diseases. The final part was held in the form of a game by master's student Manoli N.S. The game consisted of two creative competitions. The final voting on the game results was conducted on the online platform Mentimeter .
During these events, undergraduate and graduate students jointly achieved good results in gaining deep knowledge of biology and demonstrating creative abilities. The events increased the effectiveness of the educational process, aroused students' interest in conducting future research work, and contributed to the improvement of pedagogical experience.
