Gorbachev Alexander Alexandrovich is a prominent scientist who has received wide fame and well-deserved recognition in Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine, thanks to half a century of scientific and practical activity in the implementation of numerous projects in the field of higher education in the field of culture, art and tourism. A citizen of the Russian Federation. Born on May 18, 1947 in the city of Kyzyl-Orda, Kazakh SSR in a large Russian family. He spent his childhood years in his small homeland in the Aral region of the Kyzyl-Orda region. His father, Alexander Mikhailovich, was one of the railway workers of the Turkestan Railway. Mother, Alexandra Vasilyevna, a native of the Samara region, was awarded the medal "Mother Heroine".
During his studies at the Kyzyl-Orda School No. 2 (1954-1965), he proved himself not only by success in studies, but also in sports, becoming a candidate for the master of sports in basketball, a prize-winner of many city chess competitions. In addition, during his school years he became a licensed tourist, a participant in many exhibitions of fine art. He started working since the eleventh grade and successfully coped with the duties of an ichthyologist of the Kyzyl-Orda fish inspection.
On this purposeful basis, he successfully proved himself in all subsequent stages of life. From 1965 to 1968 he studied with honors at the Kyzyl-Orda Hydro-reclamation College, after graduation he worked as a master of the reinforcement shop at the reinforced concrete products factory. From 1968 to 1970 he served in the army, in the Turkestan Military District and simultaneously studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the N.K. Krupskaya Moscow Correspondence National University of Arts (ZNUI). Upon completion of his army service, he entered a job as a locksmith at the Shymkent cement Plant and concurrently worked as a graphic designer. He was recommended by the plant to the full-time faculty of the Shymkent Pedagogical Institute of Culture named after Al-Farabi. He successfully passed the final exams of the labor faculty and was enrolled in the full-time department of the Institute in the specialty "Library Science and Bibliography" with the specialization "Scientific and Technical Libraries and Computer Science".
After graduating from the university in 1975, he was invited to work as a teacher at the Department of Cultural and Educational Work, as an excellent student and diploma holder of Republican student scientific competitions, participant of scientific ethnographic and archaeological expeditions in Kazakhstan and Turkestan, as a laureate of All-Union Festivals of Fine Arts. They entrusted the reading of the courses "Visual propaganda in the club", "Library font", "History of Fine Arts", "Decorative design of mass holidays and celebrations", "Architecture and applied Art of Kazakhstan". In parallel with his work at the department, in 1975 he completed an internship in the course "Visual Agitation" at the Leningrad State Institute of Culture, as well as at the Moscow State Institute of Culture, where he became an applicant for the problem of artistic design of cultural institutions from a well–known scientist and author of books for graphic designers, candidate of architecture A.S. Shchipanov. Pedagogical work at the Shymkent Pedagogical Institute of Culture A.A. Gorbachev in the period from 1975 to 1980. successfully combines with the administrative position of deputy dean of the Faculty of Cultural and Educational Work and Music.
In 1980, he passed the competition for the specialty 13.00.05-"Theory, methodology and organization of cultural and educational work" in the graduate school of the Moscow State Institute of Culture, which he successfully graduated with a thesis defense and awarded the degree of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences in 1984. Upon completion of postgraduate studies, he returned to the city of Shymkent and until 1993 worked as a senior lecturer at the Department of Cultural and Educational Work, deputy dean of the Faculty of Cultural and Educational Work and Music, associate professor, senior researcher.
In 1991/1993, he entered the doctoral program of the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts, specialty 13.00.05 -"Theory, methodology and organization of socio-cultural activities". Successfully finished. At one of the first doctoral councils in 2002, he successfully defended his doctoral dissertation on the problems of theory and methodology of artistic and aesthetic education of young people in cultural institutions.
In 1993, A.A. Gorbachev came to Uralsk, to the West Kazakhstan Institute of Culture, opened as a branch of the Shymkent Pedagogical Institute of Culture, and immediately joined the practical work. In May 1993, he passed the competition for the position of professor and head of the department, in September of the same year he was appointed vice-rector for Academic and Scientific work. In June 1994, by the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission, he was awarded the academic title of professor, and he passed through a competition for the vacant position of corresponding member of the International Academy of Informatization in the section informatization of culture.
Gorbachev A.A., working as a vice-rector for academic and scientific work from 1993 to 2002, in a short time he turned a young university of culture in Uralsk into a major center of science and culture of Kazakhstan and Russia. He opened for the first time in the republic a postgraduate course in the specialty 13.00.05 – Theory, methodology and organization of socio-cultural activities (1998), which allowed to create a scientific school. Under his leadership, more than 30 teachers decided on the topics of their PhD theses. Five of his students and seven teachers defended their PhD theses, two became honored cultural workers. With its help, curricula have been developed and the university has obtained a license to open new areas of study in Kazakhstan, which have not lost their popularity even today. Among them: "Applied art and advertising" (in the field of Kazakh folk crafts), "Leisure Culturologist", "Culture Manager", "Directing". He starts recruiting students for these specializations, publishes urgently needed author's textbooks "Pedagogy of Creative Work" "Decorative and advertising activities: history, theory, methodology".
He did not have to choose the main project, because it was an opportunity in 2000-2002 to implement a unique project in Kazakhstan to create a comprehensive three-tier training system for the field of culture. The basis of the project was the West Kazakhstan State University, new in structure, but native to him in life, formed in the city of Uralsk as a result of the merger of the WKSU and the Institute of Arts. Here he was hired as the director of the Institute of Arts and at the same time supervised the project of creating an art school on the basis of the Ural Music College. Thus, with direct participation, the author's concept of A.A. Gorbachev on the coordination of educational programs and processes at the grassroots, secondary and higher levels of education in the field of culture and arts was successfully implemented in Kazakhstan. The school-college-university project has become a reality, which has significantly improved the quality of artistic and aesthetic education in the West Kazakhstan region.
In 2002-2003, at the invitation of the Rector of the Moscow Psychological and Social Institute, he strengthened his administrative practical experience and as dean headed the Faculty of International Tourism. During this short period of work at MPSI, A.A. Gorbachev developed and published teaching aids for the course "Introduction to the specialty", "Socio-cultural service and Tourism", published a textbook "Course work for students" studying in the specialties "Tourism", "Advertising service", "Hotel service".
In 2003, A.A. Gorbachev was invited to work as a professor at the Krasnodar State University of Culture in order to open a new specialty "Socio-cultural service and Tourism". A.A. Gorbachev gave many fruitful years to this university and the Krasnodar Territory. He worked at the departments of advertising, marketing, headed the Department of Socio-cultural Activities, having opened undergraduate and postgraduate studies in this direction. The period from 2003-2008 for A.A. Gorbachev is the most fruitful in scientific and pedagogical activity. He has published more than 40 scientific fundamental monographs, textbooks, programs, articles in journals: "Bulletin of the Moscow University of Culture and Arts", "Science of Kuban", in scientific journals of Kazakhstan, Ukraine. His works: "Theory and methodology of artistic and aesthetic education of youth in cultural institutions (Moscow, 2003); "Artistic and aesthetic education of youth: history, theory, practice" (Astana, 2003) are used in universities in Russia and Kazakhst The book "Decorative and advertising activities in the socio-cultural sphere" is recommended by the Educational and Methodological Association for Education in the field of Folk Art culture, Socio-cultural activities and information resources as a textbook for students of higher educational institutions studying in the specialty "Socio-cultural activities" (Moscow, 2007). This textbook received the 1st place at the regional competition "Olympus of Kuban Science-2008".
In 2013, he opens a new direction of the bachelor's degree "Tourism" and actively participates in the formation of relevant departments of the newly created Faculty of Socio-Cultural Activities and Tourism at the university. To ensure the educational process, he develops and reads special disciplines on the theory, methodology and organization of socio-cultural activities, the history of fine arts, decorative and applied creativity, the development and technology of production of an advertising product, marketing in tourism and many other disciplines. His scientific interest in the problems of developing the creative potential of students finds its practical embodiment. He becomes the scientific director of the project "Marketing of regional tourist services", edits collections of scientific conferences. Students under his scientific guidance annually win prizes at interuniversity scientific student competitions of works. Successfully manages the graduation papers of graduates who are as devoted to their chosen profession as their teacher. For example, only over fifty of its graduates-advertisers work in advertising and travel agencies of the Krasnodar Territory.
It is characteristic of A.A. Gorbachev that throughout his professional career, he always simultaneously carried out a variety of public assignments, taking an active public position. In the 90s, he was a member of the Council for Culture of the West Kazakhstan region, participated in the work of the regional city election commission for parliamentary elections and presidential elections of the Republic of Kazakhstan. At the VII extraordinary session of the regional maslikhat in October 1995, Gorbachev Alexander Alexandrovich acted as a deputy of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Repeatedly, as an artist, photographer and researcher, he participated in archaeological and ethnographic expeditions of the Department of Archaeology and Ethnography of the Kazakh State University, in the excavations of the Otrar settlement, studies of the mausoleum of Ahmed Yassavi, the medieval Aktobe settlement in the Chui district of the Zhambyl region. Thus, he contributed to the collection of valuable material for the Museum of Archeology and Ethnography of the Kazakh State University, the Shymkent Regional Museum of Local Lore, the Republican Museum of Ethnography and Archeology named after Ch. Valikhanov in Almaty. Ethnographic research was continued by A.A. Gorbachev in terms of studying the applied art of ancient Kazakhstan. The results were embodied in the programs of special courses and seminars: "History of art of Kazakhstan", "Kazakh folk crafts".
Gorbachev A.A. conducts a lot of public work as a scientist. He is distinguished by his competence, wide scientific potential, pedagogical skills and creativity, high efficiency in scientific, methodological and organizational work. He gives lectures and reports at regional seminars of the Department of Culture of the Krasnodar Territory administration on the problems of art education in a market economy. (Krasnodar, Anapa, Yeysk). For many years he has been a member of the dissertation interuniversity Council on specialties: 13.00.08 - Theory and methodology of vocational education and 13.00.02 - Theory and methodology of education and upbringing (music), where dozens of applicants from Russia and Kazakhstan successfully defended themselves.
Since 2004. Gorbachev A.A. is acting Chairman of the Krasnodar Regional branch of the Public International Academy of Youth Tourism and Local History (MADYUTK). Conducts annual "Tverdovsky readings" in memory of the famous traveler, local historian and scientist A.V. Tverd. Under a grant from the RGNF and the Administration of the Krasnodar Territory: "Organization of a regional system for the development of creative resources of children and youth in the field of tourism and leisure" organized and held a series of art exhibitions, including a personal exhibition of paintings and graphics. He also organized the first exhibition of an advertising poster in the history of the Krasnodar Territory, contests of student posters on ecology for the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi-2014.
Gorbachev A. A. has 47 years of permanent pedagogical practice at universities of culture and arts (Shymkent, Moscow, Uralsk-ZKSU, Krasnodar). The combination of pedagogical and scientific work with organizational activities allowed him to implement a number of scientific concepts aimed at integrating the cultural and educational space of the CIS countries and the Eurasian space of the Union States, at modernizing the system of socio-cultural and artistic education, at developing the creative potential of students. He has developed and implemented more than 50 author's work programs on decorative and applied arts, advertising and design, tourism, research methods in the educational process for students and postgraduates in ten specialties and areas in universities, colleges and advanced training courses.
The list of his scientific reports exceeds 140 titles, a good half of which are reports at international conferences. He is a participant of dozens of sessions of MAI, APSN, MADYUTK in Moscow, Sochi, Uralsk, Donetsk, Lugansk and in other cities of Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine. He has published over 450 scientific publications (including the Higher Attestation Commission, RSCI), 7 monographs, 7 textbooks, many dozens of teaching aids and materials. The Index of A.A. Gorbachev's scientific and creative works published in 2022 reflects over 120 reviews of his scientific and pedagogical activities, not counting various diplomas and diplomas. And numerous reviews of his personal art exhibitions can be traced back to 1963.

He was awarded the medal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia "For strengthening the Military Community". By the decision of the Academic Council of Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky State Pedagogical University, he was awarded the title of "Honorary Professor of PSPU" (2012). He was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation "for his great contribution to the development of culture, many years of fruitful work" (2013). In 2013-2015, he was listed on the Honor Board "The Best teachers of KSUKI". In 2014, he was awarded the title of "Veteran of Labor". For his great achievements in the development of youth tourism and local lore, he was awarded the Diploma and the Golden Compass prize - the highest award of the Public International Academy of Youth Tourism and Local Lore" (2007, 2008, 2018,2021,2022, Moscow).He was awarded the Badge of honor "For Merits in the development of children's and youth tourism", the jubilee medal "25 years of the International Academy of Children's and Youth Tourism and Local History named after A.A.
